Project Development Associate

Operations Engineer - OCI Solar Power, LLC, San Antonio, TX seeks Operations Engineer to research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain mechanical products and systems for the company’s solar farms. Monitor communication status and data flow between solar farms. Use Autocad and PV system to develop operational budget and analyze losses and perform thermal simulations using ANSYS/FLOTHERM software for server station, substation and inverter cooling. Monitor 4 operating sites (SCADA, PI Vision & DAS) and 1 ESS (WEB). Use OSISOFT PI admin to manage site historians. Troubleshoot inverter XCU’s, HMI’s, RTAC, RTU’s, SEL devices. Perform analyses, prepare reports and make recommendations to improve plant costs, equipment efficiency, and safety of plant operations. Provide R&D efforts on optimizing solar inverter and ESS battery cooling. Formulate expense, budgeting, compliance and regulatory (ERCOT, PJM, EIA etc.) needs. Review IE reports, contract and warranty renewals, MSA/MPA, T&C’s, proposals, invoices, and PO’s. Inspect and perform tests on power plant equipment to assess conditions, identify potential for malfunctions, and design and implement plant and equipment improvements. Support onsite and remote PI data management and storage systems and develop, test, and maintain PI displays. Develop, coordinate, test and maintain all aspects of the Rockwall Software (RS) view displays and databases.
